HomeMy WebLinkAboutPC Resolution 86-38RESOLUTION P.C. 86-38 1 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA 2 11 BEACH, CALIFORNIA, APPROVIING A VARIANCE TO EXPAND AN EXISTING NON-CONFORMING STRUCTURE AT 211 -8TH STREET. 3 4 WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing on 5 July 1, 1986 to consider this matter and made the following 6 Findings: 7 1. Special cirmcumstances apply to the property: 8 9 10 11 a. b. The lot is 1250 square feet in size, which is substan­ tially smaller than other lots in the City; The structure is substantially older than other residen­ tial structures in the City; 12 11 2. It is within the rights of the property owner to add a bath- 13 room to the existing structure; 14 11 3. The proposed project is not expected to have a material 15 detrimental effect on adjacent neighbors; 161 I 4. The proposed project is not expected to be injurious to the 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 general welfare; s. The proposed project is in compliance with the General Plan; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission of the City of Hermosa Beach does hereby approve a request for a variance to expand an existing, non-conforming structure at 211 - 8th Street.
