HomeMy WebLinkAboutPC Resolution 86-461 2 3 4 RESOLUTION P.C. 86-46 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING A REQUEST FOR A VARIANCE FOR THE ENCLOSURE OF AN EXISTING PORCH AT THE FRONT PROPERTY LINE AT 243 THIRTY-FIRST STREET. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a hearing on this matter on September 17, 1986, and made the following Findings: 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 1. 2. 3. 4. There are exceptional circumstances related to the subject property. It is exceptionally small in size, and fronts on a walk street where public right-of-way is utilized for setback purposes; The variance will preserve a substantial property right which has been granted to other property owners within the vicinity for lots of similar size, shape, and location; No evidence, reason, or factual data has been found which indicates that this variance will be materially detrimental to the public welfare or injurous to the property or improve­ ments in the vicinity and zone in which the property is located; The granting of this variance is found to not be in conflict with any of the goals, objectives, policies or provisions of the General Plan and therefore, is not d·etrimental to the implementation of the General Plan; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commis­ sion of the City of Hermosa Beach, California, does approve a request for variance to enclose an existing porch at the front property line at 243 Thirty-first Street.
