HomeMy WebLinkAboutPC Resolution 87-28RESOLUTION P.C. 87-28 1 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA 2 BEACH, CALIFORNIA, DENYING A VARIANCE TO ALLOW A WALL TO EXCEED THE MAXIMUM HEIGHT WITHIN FRONT YARD SETBACK AT 906 PROSPECT 3 AVENUE. 4 WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held public hearings on this 5 matter on July 21, July 7, June 2, May 19, and January 20, 1987 6 to receive oral and written testimony regarding this matter 7 pursuant to applicable law and made the following Findings: 8 A. The applicant constructed a wall varying in height from 9 10 thirty-six inches to seventy-two inches within the front yard setback; 11 B. The Zoning Ordinance prohibits fences from exceeding 12 thirty-six inches within the front yard setback area; 13 C. There are no unusual fetaures of size, shape, or topography 14 15 16 17 which qualify this property for a variance; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the P l anning Comm i ssion of the City of Hermosa Beach, California does hereby deny a variance to allow a fence to exceed the maximum allowable height within the front yard setback at 906 Prospect Avenue. 18 VOTE: 19 AYES: Comms.Peirce,Rue,Chmn.Sheldon NOES: None ABSTAIN: Comm.Compton ABSENT: None 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 CERTIFICATION I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution P.
