HomeMy WebLinkAboutPC Resolution 87-54RESOLUTION P.C. 87-54 1 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA AND AN TELLING 2 BEACH, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT ENVIRONMENTAL NEGATIVE DECLARATION TO ALLOW A FORTUNE 3 BUSINESS AT 600 PACIFIC COAST HIGHWAY. 4 WHEREAS, the Planning Commission continued the public hearing of September 15 to October 6, 1987 to November 4, 1987 to receive 5 oral and written testimony on this matter and made the following 6 7 Findings: 8 A. g 10 B. 11 12 13 14 15 1. 16 17 2. 18 19 3. 20 21 22 4. 23 5. 24 25 2G 27 6. 28 The proposed use is compatible with the surrounding neighborhood and is consistent with the General Plan; The imposition of conditions of approval shall mitigate any significant problems; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission of the City of Hermosa Beach, California does hereby approve a Conditional Use Permit and an Environmental Negative Declaration to allow a fortune telling business at 600 Pacific Coast Highway subject to the following conditions: The hours of operation shall be from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. a. The last appointment shall commence no later than 10:00 p.m. The establishment shall not adversely affect the welfare of residents and/or commercial establishments nearby. There shall be no expansion of the structure and/or business operations without approval from the Planning Department. a. Any changes to the interior layout shall be subject to review and approval by the Planning Commission. The use of the business shall be limited to fortune telling only. A sign shal 1 be posted at the entrance to the parking area stating that parking is available for the forture teller and other businesses located on the site, subject to approval by the Planning Department. a. The sign shall also state that all unauthorized vehicles shall be towed away. Any violation of the conditions of approval and/or violation of the Hermosa Beach Mun ic i pa 1 Code may be grounds for a public hearing for the revocation of the Conditional Use Permit. -1 - • --~ I '• T' • 1 2 3 4 7. 8. 9. The Planning Commission may review the Conditional Use Permit and may amend the conditions or impose any new conditions if deemed necessary to mitigate detrimental effects. There shall be a review of the Conditional Use Permit in six months (April, 1988). Prior to a Conditional Use Permit being in effect, the applicant shall submit to the Planning Department, a signed and notarized "Acceptance of Conditions II form.
