HomeMy WebLinkAboutPC Resolution 88-52RESOLUTION P.C. 88-52 1 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH, CALIFORNIA, DENYING A VARIANCE TO ALLOW A GARAGE EXPANSION 2 WITH UNIT ABOVE TO ENCROACH WITHIN 1.3 FEET OF THE SIDE PROPERTY LINE AT 1056 7TH STREET, LEGALLY DESCRIBED AS LOT 16, GLORIETTA 3 TRACT. 4 WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing on 5 June 21, 1988 to receive oral and written testimony regarding 6 this matter and made the following Findings: 7 A. The applicant is proposing to expand a non-conforming garage 8 to encroach within 1.3' of the side property line; 9 B. The zoning ordinance requires a 4' sideyard setback for 10 garages with units above; 11 C. The site has an alley access in the rear of the lot which can 12 be used for parking access; 13 D. There are no unusual features of size, shape or topography 14 15 which justify granting a variance for this property; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission 16 of the City of Hermosa Beach, California, does hereby deny a 17 variance to allow a garage expansion with unit above to encroach to within 1.3 feet of the side property line at 1056 7th Street. 18 VOTE: 19 20 21 AYES: NOES: ABSTAIN: ABSENT: Comms.DeBellis,Ingell,Peirce,Rue,Chmn.Compton None None None CERTIFICATION 22 I hereby true and certify that the foregoing Resolution P.
