HomeMy WebLinkAboutPC Resolution 88-53RESOLUTION P.C. 88-53 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA 1 BEACH, CALIFORNIA, RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF A ZONE CHANGE FROM M-1, LIGHT MANUFACTURING TO R-2, TWO-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL ZONE AND 2 A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 601, 615, AND 619-621 2ND STREET, LEGALLY DESCRIBED AS LOTS 2, 3, AND 4, TRACT 3 NO. 81. 4 WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing on 5 June 21, 1988 to receive oral and written testimony regarding 6 this matter and made the following Findings: 7 A. The location and size of the subject property is adequate and 8 more suitable for residential development than manufacturing; 9 B. Changing the zoning to R-2 is a logical extension to the R-2 10 zone adjacent to the east and would not result in "spot 11 zoning"; 12 C. The proposed zone change is consistent with the General Plan. 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission of the City of Hermosa Beach, California, does hereby recommend a zone cbage from M-1, Light Manufacturing, to R-2, Two-Family Residential zone for 601, 615, and 619-621 2nd Street.
