HomeMy WebLinkAboutPC Resolution 88-106RESOLUTION P.C 88-106 1 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA 2 BEACH, CALIFORNIA, RECOMMENDING AN AMENDMENT TO THE GENERAL PLAN AND A ZONE CHANGE OF THE WEST SIDE OF MYRTLE AVENUE BETWEEN 24TH 3 STREET AND 25TH STREET FROM MEDIUM DENSITY, R-2, TO LOW DENSITY, R-1, AND THE ADOPTION OF AN ENVIRONMENTAL NEGATIVE DECLARATION. 4 5 WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing on December 6, 1988 and made the following findings: 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 A. B. C. The lots in the subject area are too small to have more than one unit unless they are combined; This one block of lots is surrounded by Low Density, R-1 areas except for a small block to the north; Redesignating this area from Medium Density to Low Density, combined with the zone change from R-2 to R-1 will result in a more compatible neighborhood. 14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission of the City of Hermosa Beach, California, does hereby recommend a 15 General Plan Amendment and Zone Change as shown on the attached map and legally described as follows: 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 1. Redesignate the west side of Myrtle Avenue between 24th and 25th Street from Medium Density, R-2, to Low Density, R-1, legally described as follows: -Lots 13 through 28, Tract 1031 VOTE: AYES: Comms. Edwards, Ingell, Ketz, Chmn.Peirce None NOES: ABSTAIN: None ABSENT: Comm.
