RES-24-7460 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING CHANGES TO THE 2022-2025 MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH THE GENERAL AND SUPERVISORY EMPLOYEES’ BARGAINING UNIT, CALIFORNIA TEAMSTERS LOCAL 911 AND DETERMINING THE RESOLUTION IS NOT A PROJECT UNDER THE CALIFORNIA ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY ACT (“CEQA”) WHEREAS, employees of the City of Hermosa Beach, California represented by the General and Supervisory Employees’ Bargaining Unit California Teamsters Local 911, have elected to meet and confer with the City of Hermosa Beach on matters concerning wages, hours, and working conditions; and, WHEREAS, the above bargaining unit has selected certain individuals to represent them; and, WHEREAS, Employee and City of Hermosa Beach Chief Labor Negotiator have jointly negotiated changes to the Memorandum of Understanding which has been approved by members of the General and Supervisory Employees’ Bargaining Unit California Teamsters Local 911; and, WHEREAS, the Employee and City of Hermosa Beach Chief Labor Negotiator have mutually agreed to recommend that the City Council adopt these changes to the current Memorandum of Understanding. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Hermosa Beach resolves to approve specific modifications to Article 41, Section C, to add a Public Works Inspector premium pay as Section C.2 to read as follows: SECTION 2. Public Works Department employees in the classification of Public Works Inspector who attain a Penal Code 832(a) certification following completion of an introductory training course prescribed by the Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training shall receive a 5% premium pay above Docusign Envelope ID: 5C293769-0887-41EB-B8F4-9E96AA34422C Page 2 of 2 RES-24-7460 base salary. SECTION 3. This Article shall be effective June 11, 2024. SECTION 4. This Resolution is not a project under the California Environmental Quality Act pursuant to CEQA Guidelines section 15378 (b)(5) as the Resolution is an organization or administrative activity of the City that will not result in direct or indirect physical changes in the environment. SECTION 5. This resolution takes effect immediately and that the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution; shall cause the same to be entered among the original resolutions of said City; and shall make a minute of the passage and adoption thereof in the records of the proceedings of the City Council of said City in the minutes of the meeting at which time same is passed and adopted.
