Note: No Smoking is allowed in the Council Chambers Section I 1. Pledge of Allegiance 2. Roll Call 3. Approval of November 15, 1988 minutes. 4. Approval of (a) Resolution P.C. 88-96 approving a Conditional Use Permit & Tentative Parcel Map #20092 for 2 unit condominium at 725 9th Street. (b) Resolution P.C. 88-97 denying a variance to allow garage to encroach into 17' setback and to provide no guest parking space at 1836 Palm Drive. (c) Resolution P.C. 88-101 recommending approving a zone change for area 10 from R-2 to R-2B & area 11 from R-3 to R-2 & adopt an Environmental Negative Declaration. (d) Resolution B.Z.A. 154-441 granting a Conditional Use Permit for live entertainment in conjunction with the operation of a bar located at 211 Pacific Coast Highway, Hermosa Saloon. Section II Conmunications 5. Anyone wishing to address the Commission regarding a matter not related to a public hearing on the agenda may do so at this time. Section III Public Hearings 6. Conditional Use Permit for video sales and rental (adult in­ cluded) & Environmental Negative Declaration at 1312 Hermosa Avenue, Hermosa Video. Recommended Action: To approve the Conditional Use Permit & Environmental Negative Declaration. 7. Variance to allow new second story and first story addition to encroach into the side yard setback & adopt an Environmental Negative Declaration at 576 21st Street. Recommended Action: To deny the variance. 8. Conditional Use Permit & Vesting Tentative Tract Map #46903 & zone change from M-1 & Open Space to R-2 or to such other zone -1 - • ♦ ~, 9. 10. 11. 12. 13. as deemed appropriate by the Planning Commission & adopt an En­ vironmental Negative Declaration for a 15 unit condominium at 603 1st Street. Recommended Action: To continue to January 3, 1989 Planning Commission meeting. General Plan amendment and zone change for the west side of Myr­ tle Avenue between 24th Street & 25th Street from Medium Densi­ ty, R-2, to Low Density, R-1, or to such other zone as deemed appropriate by the Planning Commission & adopt an Environmental Negative Declaration. Recommended Action: To recommend approval of said General Plan amendment & zone change & adoption of the Environmental Negative Declaration. General Plan amendment for area 8A from Low Density to Medium Density & adopt an Environmental Negative Declaration. Recommended Action: To recommend approval of said General Plan amendment & adoption of the Environmental Negative Declaration. General Plan amendment for area 3 fraom Low Density to Medium Density & adopt an Environmental Negative Declaration. Recommended Action: To recommend approval of said General Plan amendment & adoption of the Environmental Negative Declaration. General Plan amendment for 1344 & 1348 Manhattan Avenue, 1409 & 1428 Monterey Boulevard & 1346 Bayview Drive from General Com­ mercial to High Density Residential & adopt an Environmental Negative Declaration. Recommended Action: To recommend approval of said General Plan amendment & adoption of the Environmental Negative Declaration. General Plan amendment and vacation of a portion of 21st Street near Loma Drive approximately 40'xl01' & adopt an Environmental Negative Declaration. Recommended Action: To recommend approval of said General Plan amendment and vacation & adoption of the Environmental Negative Declaration. Section IV 14. Staff Items a. Letter from the resident regarding 211 Pacific Coast High­ way, Hermosa Saloon. b. Planning Department activity report for October, 1988. c.
