RESOLUTION P.C. 84-9
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA
BEACH, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE ZONING CODE, SECTION 11.5 OFF "'.TRFET
PARKING TO INCLUDE A PROVISION FOR ON STREET PARKING SP ACES L.OST
DUE TO CURB CUTS AND/OR CURB CUTS AND/OR DRIVEWAYS.
WHEREAS, the availahility of parking spaces is a major concern in the City of
Hermosa Beach; and
WHEREAS, the zoning code contains no requirement that on-street parking spaces lost
due to curb cuts be repiaced (with the exception of subdivisions);
NOW, THEREFORE, the Planning Commission of Hermosa Beach does hereby resolve to
amend Section 11.5 Off Street Parking to include a provision under Section 1151 Off
Street Parki~g, Residential Uses that says:
"One (1) additional space of on-site guest parking shall be provided for each on-street
parking space lost due to curb cuts and/or driveways. However, every lot is entitled
to vehicular access via aHey or one (1) curb cut if there is no alley access. The curb
cut may accomodate a double garage and be sixteen (16) feet in width."

NOES: NONE
