HomeMy WebLinkAboutPC Resolution 84-242 RESOLUTION P.C. 84-24 RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA EACH, CALIFORNIA, RECOMMENDING ZONING AND GENERAL PLAN MENDMENTS FOR THE PROPERTY OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PROSPECT HEIGHTS CHOOL. 3 HEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Hermosa Beach has considered the 4 eclining enrollment in the Hermosa Beach School District and its detrimental effect 5 n School District operations and the well-being of the community; and 6 HEREAS, the present open space element of the General Plan assumes all possible 7 steps will be taken to preserve open space recreation land without causing detriment 8 to the education system; and g WHEREAS, zoning does not and cannot prohibit private use of Hermosa Beach School Io District property; and 11 WHEREAS, the City has already purchased the portion of Prospect Heights that it wishes to maintain as permanent open space; and . . 12 WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has taken into account th~ surrounding zoning;and 13 WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on September 4, 1984; 14 NOW, THEREFORE, the Planning Commission of the City of Hermosa Beach does 15 hereby recommend the following changes to the zoning and General Plan designations 16 at Prospect Heights School: 17 Section 1. 18 19 20 Section 2. 21 22 23 Section 3. 24 25 26 Section 4. 27 28 Ill// That the zoning be changed on the following lots from open space to R-2 PD: Lots 11,12, and the southern 15' of Lot 10 of the Hollowell Tract; and Lot 31 and the southern 15' of Lot 30 of the Dillon Tract. That the zoning be changed on the following lots from unzoned to R-2 PD : Lots 23-29 and the northern 10' of Lot 30 of the Dillon Tract; and Lots 5-9 and the northern 10' of Lot 10 of the Hollowell Tract. That the General Plan designation be changed from open space to Medium Density for the following Lots: Lots 23-31 of the Dillon Tract and Lots 5-12 of the Hollowell Tract. - That the total development of the above-mentioned lots be limited to 15 units for the overall site. 2 3 4 OTE: A YES: Chmn.
