RESOLUTION P.C. 90-64
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA
BEACH, CALIFORNIA, RECOMMENDING DENIAL OF A TEXT AMENDMENT TO
ALLOW OUTDOOR DISPLAY OF MERCHANDISE FOR SALE.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing on
September 4, 1990, and made the following Findings:
A. Allowing the display of merchandise outdoors would detract
from the general attractiveness of the downtown area;
B. Controlling the practice of outdoor display in an acceptable
manner would be difficult to enforce, and said enforcement
would be costly to the City;
C. Displaying merchandise outdoors provides no benefits to the
citizens of Hermosa Beach;
D. There has been no show of support or input from the business
community relative to this proposal;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Planning Commission
of the City of Hermosa Beach, California, does hereby recommend
denial of a text amendment to allow outdoor display of
merchandise.
