HomeMy WebLinkAboutPC Resolution 90-732 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 RESOLUTION NO. 90-73 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH, CALIFORNIA, RECOMMENDING CHANGING THE ZONING MAP FROM R-1, SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL, TO OS, OPEN SPACE, FOR THE CALIFORNIA WATER SERVICE COMPANY PROPERTY LOCATED EAST OF PROSPECT AVENUE BETWEEN 15TH AND 17TH STREET AS DESCRIBED BELOW AND ON THE ATTACHED MAPS AND ADOPTING AN ENVIRONMENTAL NEGATIVE DECLARATION. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing on the Third Quarter General Plan Amendments and zone changes to bring selected areas into consistency (ZON 90-3) on September 4, 1990, and made the following Findings: A. The subject area has inconsistent General Plan and Zoning map designation, and state law requires consistency between the General Plan and the Zoning Ordinance; B. In order to make the subject area consistent requires either an amendment to the General Plan Map or the Zoning Map; C. A zone change from R-1 to Open Space recognizes the existing and historic land use of the subject area and will bring the zoning map into consistency with the General Plan; D. The Open Space zoning designation will recognize the existing land uses of the subject property and therefore does not cause any impact on the environment; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission of the City of Hermosa Beach, California, does hereby recommend that the zoning map be amended as shown on the attached map and described as follows, and further recommends adoption of an environmental negative declaration: 1. Zone Change from R-1, Single-Family Residential to OS, Open Space for the California Water Service Company property located east of Prospect Avenue, between 15th Street and 17th Street and legally described as follows: -1 - /~ 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 portion of lots 4 and 5 block 88, Second addition to Hermosa Beach.
