HomeMy WebLinkAboutPC Resolution 90-942 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 RESOLUTION P.C. 90-94 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH, CALIFORNIA, DENYING A REQUESTED AMENDMENT TO A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT AND TENTATIVE PARCEL MAP #21787 FOR A 2-UNIT CONDOMINIUM TO ELIMINATE CONDITION NO. 12(A), AT 952 EIGHTH STREET, LEGALLY DESCRIBED AS LOTS 1 AND 2 WILSON AND LIND'S TRACT WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing on November 6, 1990 to receive oral and written testimony regarding an application for amending condition 12 (a) of a Conditional Use Permit at 952 Eighth Street and made the following findings: A. The applicant is requesting to eliminate a condition which prohibits exterior access from a basement level "bonus room"; B. The condition was included on the Conditional Use Permit to minimize the potential of the basement being converted to a "bootleg" unit: C. Because the basement is separate from the main portion of the unit, and shares the floor with laundry hook-ups and a large closet, it could too easily be converted to a second unit; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission of the City of Hermosa Beach, California, does hereby deny an amendment to a Conditional Use Permit and Tentative Parcel Map at 952 Eighth Street.
