RESOLUTION NO. 10-6724
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
HERMOSA BEACH, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE CITY'S PARKING
VIOLATION BAIL SCHEDULE ADDING THE $3.00 TRIAL COURT
TRUST FUND PENALTY REQUIRED BY SB 857
WHEREAS, SB 857, effective October 8, 2010 requires the City of Hermosa Beach to
collect an additional penalty of $3.00 for a Trial Court Trust Fund established by Government
Code Section 68085;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA
BEACH, CALIFORNIA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Per California Vehicle Code Section 40203.5(a) the schedule of parking
penalties for parking violations and late penalties shall be established by the governing body of the
jurisdiction where the notice of violation is issued. To the extent possible, issuing agencies within
the same county shall standardize parking penalties. The City Council hereby adopts the fines and
penalties set forth in "Exhibit A, City of Hermosa Beach Parking Violation Bail Schedule",
attached hereto.
SECTION 2. Prior to the expiration of fifteen (15) days after the dates of its adoption, the
City Clerk shall cause this resolution to be published in the Easy Reader, a weekly newspaper of
general circulation published and circulated in the City of Hermosa Beach;
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution;
shall cause the same to be entered among the original resolutions of said city; and shall make a
minute of the passage and adoption thereof in the records of the proceedings of the City Council of
said City in the minutes of the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted.
