A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA
BEACH, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING RESOLUTION 90-5422
REGARDING PROCESSING ADMINISTRATIVE PERMITS FOR
VARIOUS TEMPORARY ACTIVITIES AND VARIOUS HOUSING
ACCOMMODATIONS
SECTION 1. Recitals.
1. Pursuant to the Hermosa Beach Municipal Code Section 2.64.010 it is the intent of the
City Council to require recovery of costs reasonably borne from fees and charges levied in
providing City services or products.
2. Under Government Code Section §65909.5, the City may establish reasonable fees to
recover the City's costs associated with processing development applications. The fees established
herein represent the estimated costs of administratively evaluating and processing Administrative
Permits for Temporary Minor Special Events, Temporary Seasonal Sales Lots, Second Single -
Family Dwelling in R-1 Zone, Emergency Shelters, and Single Room Occupancy Facilities
including, without limitation, the costs of staff time to review the project application and confirm
the request complies with the Municipal Code, correspondence, input into the permit tracking
system, and updating project records.
3. Pursuant to Government Code §66016, the City made data available regarding the cost,
or estimated cost, of providing services for the fee ten (10) days before the public meeting held on
July 9, 2013.
4. Adoption of this fee is statutorily exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act
per Section 15273.
NOW, THEREFORE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA
BEACH, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the City's Master Fee Resolution, Number 11-6749, is amended to
revise the Development Services Section, by adding fees to process Administrative Permits for
Temporary Minor Special Events and Temporary Seasonal Sales Lots per Municipal Code Section

17.42.150, Second Single -Family Units in R-1 Zone per 17.08.020, Emergency Shelters per

SECTION 2. The above fees shall become effective upon the effective dates of the
Ordinances establishing the administrative permit processes stated above.
