A motion was made by Mayor Pro Tempore Francois, seconded by Page 7City of Hermosa Beach Printed on 11/20/2023 October 24, 2023City Council Meeting Minutes - Final Councilmember Saemann to adopt a resolution approving General Plan Amendment (GPA 23-01) for a land use designation map change; and introduce by title only and waive first reading of an ordinance of the City of Hermosa Beach, California, approving a Zone Change (ZC 23-01) amending the zoning map for certain sites to allow realization of housing capacity, align zoning on certain sites with the General Plan, and designating Housing Element sites; and introduce by title only and waive first reading of an ordinance of the City of Hermosa Beach, California, approving Zoning Text Amendment (TA 23-02), to update the zoning ordinance to implement Housing Element policies; and add Section D to add the language as follows: sites on the sites inventory with a maximum allowable density of one unit that also retains a commercial component shall be exempt; and direct the City Clerk to publish a summary ordinance. A motion was made by Councilmember Detoy, seconded by Councilmember Jackson to approve the complimentary holiday parking program at citywide commercial zone silver-post meters1 from November 24, 2023 to December 25, 2023 and November 29, 2024 to December 25, 2024.
