5. ANNOUNCEMENTS - UPCOMING CITY EVENTS
Mayor Massey declared April 2024 as Earth Month and invited the
community to participate in a series of upcoming events; on Sunday April
21st the Sea Sprite Hotel will host a beach clean up event from 9:00 a.m. to
1:00 p.m; on May 4th is the Hermosa Community garage sale; the Spring
Sidewalk Sale is scheduled for April 20th and 21st from noon to 9:00 p.m;
and the Surfers Walk of Fame Event will take place on April 27th on Pier
Plaza at 11:00 with a ceremony honoring this year's inductees.

Saemann, to adopt Resolution No. RES-24-7425 amending the City's
administrative fine schedule and finding the action to be exempt pursuant to the
California Environmental Quality Act. with the following modifications:
1- That the $20,000 fine for illegal cannabis delivery remain in place and that the
City Manager's have the authority to waive an amount not to exceed $10,000; and
2- Staff to come back with a parking pass revocation clause tied with STVR
violations and that the STVR violations be $5,000, $10,000, and $20,000 for the
first, second, and third violation.

Jackson, to authorize a purchase of two patrol pursuit vehicles in the mount not
to exceed $146,266 from National Auto Fleet Group the State of California's
General Service Department Statewide Contract for Fleet Vehicles or sole source
from a dealership as the vehicles become available; authorize outfitting, at an
amount not to exceed $54,000 for two vehicles through National Auto Fleet
Group, and approve an additional appropriation of $200,266 from the Equipment
Replacement Fund balance to fund the purchase and outfitting of the two patrol
