HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES-93-5622 (LIGHT & LANDSCP/DISTRICT)--_ 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 rrl 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 441 27 28 RESOLUTION NO. 93- 5622 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH, CALIFORNIA, CONFIRMING MAP OF SAID DISTRICT, ASSESSMENTS AND LEVYING ASSESSMENTS FOR THE FISCAL YEAR COMMENCING JULY 1, 1993. CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH STREET LIGHTING DISTRICT 1993-1994 WHEREAS, under the proceedings of the "Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972" (commencing with Section 22500, Streets and Highways Code) the City Council adopted Resolution No. 93-5592 ordering the Director of Public Works to prepare and file the report required by said Act. Said report is for the proposed levy of an annual assessment. Pursuant to Resolution No. 93-5592, such report has been prepared and filed with the City Clerk for the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1993; WHEREAS, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 93-5609 approving the report as filed; and WHEREAS, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 93-5608 declaring its intention to order certain street lighting fixtures and appurtenances to be installed, maintained and electric current to be furnished for lighting of said fixtures for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1993. Said Resolution also appointed a time and place for hearing protests relative thereto; and WHEREAS, the hearing was duly held at the time and place fixed therefor and all interested persons desiring to hear and be heard, either orally or in writing, were afforded the opportunity - 1 - 1 to hear and be heard. Also included at the hearing was the 2 report from the Director of Public Works, the Map of said 3 District and the Assessment information contained therein said 4 report. 5 NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: 6 SECTION 1. The City Council has considered all oral and 7 written protests made or filed by any interested persons, and 8 except to the extent of any changes ordered by the City Council, 9 each and all protests are overruled and denied. 10 SECTION 2. The Assessment and Map of said District are 11 hereby confirmed. The adoption of this resolution constitutes 12 the levy of an assessment for the fiscal year commencing July 1, 13 1993. 14 SECTION 3. The City Clerk is directed to file a certified 15 copy of this Resolution, the Map of said District and Assessments 16 referred to herein with the County Auditor of the County of Los 17 Angeles. Thereupon, the County Auditor shall provide for the 18 collection of assessments at the time and in the manner provided 19 in the "Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972". 20 SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and 21 adoption of this Resolution; shall cause the same to be entered 22 in the book of original Resolutions of said City; and shall make 23 a minute of the passage and adoption thereof in the records of 24 the proceedings of the City Council of said City in the minutes 25 of the meeting at which time the same is passed and adopted. 26 27 28 2 - '...y i z 3 4 5 6i 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18' 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 SECTION 5. immediately.
