P.C. RESOLUTION 97-8
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
HERMOSA BEACH, CALIFORNIA, DENYING A PARKING PLAN FOR A TAKE
OUT RESTAURANT AT 506 PACIFIC COAST IDGHWAY LEGALLY DESCRIBED
AS LOTS 1, 2, & 5 OF TRACT NO. 294.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing on January 21, 1997 and
February 18, 1997, to receive oral and written testimony regarding an application for a
Parking Plan and made the following findings:
A The applicant is proposing to remodel the interior of an existing building previously
used for commercial retail, for a take-out restaurant.
B. Less than required parking is not justified for this change of use, pursuant to Section
1 7.44. 210 of the Zoning Ordinance, since based on a survey of current parking usage
adequate parking for existing uses is not available at times .
C. Allowing another restaurant will only add to the current lack of adequate parking
D. No conditions of approval will mitigate the potential negative impact to the
surrounding neighborhood that result from approval of the Parking Plan;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission of the
City of Hermosa Beach, California does hereby deny a Parking Plan to allow a take-out
restaurant.
