RES-25-7520 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE CITY’S PARKING VIOLATION BAIL SCHEDULE WHEREAS, California Vehicle Code Section 40203.5 authorizes the City to establish parking penalties for parking violations and late payment penalties. The parking penalties for parking violations and late payment penalties established by this Resolution comply in all respects with the requirements of California Vehicle Code Sections 40200 to 40230 inclusive, and other applicable law and are necessary for the protection of the public health: safety, interest, and general welfare. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Parking violation penalties shall be increased as reflected in the updated Parking Violation Bail Schedule, hereby incorporated herein by this reference. SECTION 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to adjust future parking citation rates, on a one-to-one basis, by any dollar or percentage surcharge imposed on parking citations by federal, state or county government. SECTION 3. This resolution takes effect immediately and that the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution; shall cause the same to be entered among the original resolutions of said City; and shall make a minute of the passage and adoption thereof in the records of the proceedings of the City Council of said City in the minutes of the meeting at which time same is passed and adopted.
