HomeMy WebLinkAboutBZA 154-505 (1324 The Strand), 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 RESOLUTION B.Z.A. 154-505 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF ZONING ADJUSTMENTS OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH GRANTING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT ON PROPERTY LOCATE AT 1324 STRAND, HERMOSA BEACH, CALIFORNIA. WHEREAS, the Board of Zoning Adjustments of the City of Hermosa Beach, at a public hearing held on April 18, 1983, in the City Council Chambers at City Hall, to consider the request of Linda Christian & Steve Brown, for permission to install two (2) Aero Ball courts, which is a cross between basketball and volley- ball played on a trampoline in courts surrounded by a dark green screen in a court approximately 15.5 sq. ft. and also to install a cashier's structure, on property legally described as Lot 4, Block 14, Hermosa Beach Tract; WHEREAS, at said public hearing, the following facts were presented for consideration: that the project has been reviewed by the Staff Review Committee and they have suggested the following conditions: 1. The area shall be enclosed by suitable fencing to prevent loitering and vandalism. 2. Signs shall be posted indicating no alcoholic beverages allowe 3. Facility shall be supervised and well lighted at all times . 4. No parking shall be allowed in front of the gate at Be~ch Drive to allow for Fire Department access. 5. The business shall be operated during daylight hours only. 6. Security lighting shall be provided. 7. Chapter 19½ of the City Code entitled Nois'e Regulation shall be complied with. Specifically no violation of Section 19½-3 entitled Noise Limits shall be allowed. 8. WHEREAS, at said public hearing, the applicants were present to answer questions; WHEREAS, at said public hearing, no one appeared to speak in opposition to the project. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Zoning Adjustments grants the conditional use permit with the eight (8) conditions mentioned above by the following vote: AYES: NOES: ABSENT: Comms. Cutler, Williams CERTIFICATION I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution B.Z.A. 154-505 was adopted by the Board of Zoning Adjustments of the City of Hermosa Beach, California, at a regular meeting held on the 18th day of April, 1983.
