RESOLUTION B.Z.A. 154-512
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF ZONING ADJUSTMENTS OF THE CITY OF
HERMOSA BEACH, CALIFORNIA, DENYING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR
PROPERTY LOCATED AT 205 PIER AVENUE, HERMOSA BEACH, CALIFORNIA.
WHEREAS, the Board of Zoning Adjustments of the City of
Hermosa Beach, at a public hearing held on June 20, 1983, in the
Council Chambers of the City Hall, considered the request of
Mr. Won Sam Ahn for permission to sell beer and wine in conjuna-·
tion with the operation of a drive-thru dairy on property legally
described as Lot 1, First Addition t0 Hermosa Beach, Block 49;
WHEREAS, at said public hearing, the following facts were
presented for consideration: that the application is for modifi-
cation of a conditional use permit to permit the off-sale of
beer and wine in conjunction with the operation of a drive-thru
dairy. There are three off-street parking spaces;
WHEREAS, at said public hearing, the applicant was
present and stated that many of his patrons have requested that
beer and wine be sold at the dairy.and presented a petition in
favor of the request;
WHEREAS, at said public hearing, no one appeared to speak
in opposition to the project;
WHEREAS, tfter due consideration, it is the opinion of the
Board of Zoning Adjustments that the request is denied because
there would not be any way of preventing minors from purchasing
alcohol and the dairy gets its business from selling food items;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that in view of the above
finding of fact, the Board of Zoning Adjustments of the City of
Hermosa Beach, does hereby deny the variance by the following vote
AYES: Comms. Corder, Williams, Chmn. Moore
NOES: None
ABSENT: Comms. Cutler, Toth

I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution B.Z.A. 154-512 was
adopted by the Board of Zoning Adjustments of the City of Hermosa
Beach, California, at a regular meeting held on the 20th day of
