A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR OPERATION OF/\ CHURCH AT z!.:-20 PACIFIC
CO/\ST 11 IGII\-/AY.
\-JHEREAS, the Planning Commission of llermosa Beach held a public hearing on March
22, 1976 to consider the request of Hope Chapel for a concliti onul use permit to
operate a church at 2420 Pacific Coast Highway; and,
,,.-·· , WHEnEAS, publ le testimony was taken considering this application; and,
HHEREAS, the Commission found the proposal to be consistant v1ith the General Plan
and that,with prescribed proper conditions,the use will not have an adverse effect
on neighboring residential or commercial development and uses;
MO\-/, lr!EREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Hermosa Beach City Planning Commission does
hereby approve a conditional use permit for the operation of a church at 2420
Pacific Coast Highway subject to the follo1.>1ing conditions:
. 1. No modification of hours, usage, or development of the eastern half of the
building without prior approval of the Planning Commission.
2. Approval of all exterior signing, landscaping and exterior design by the
Improvement Cammi ss ion •.
3. Maintain all 110 parking spaces in a usable condition with the provrs,on
that 13 spaces may be developed into a landscaped area with approval of the
.Planning Commission.

5. The door on Borden Street will not be used as a generaf access door but for
an exit for emergency purposes only.
6. Any modifications or alterations of the bloc!( \•1all along the south boundary
of the lot must be approved by the Planning Commission.
7. The existing detached, free-standing sign is to be removed.
