CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH
RESOLUTION NO. RES-26-7534
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH,
CALIFORNIA, APPROVING CHANGES TO WAGES FOR TEMPORARY
POSITIONS
WHEREAS, the State of California increased the minimum wage to sixteen
dollars and ninety cents ($16.90) effective January 1, 2026;
WHEREAS, the City of Hermosa Beach (“City”) has historically maintained a
specific differential between the various part-time positions in recognition of
the differences in position responsibilities;
WHEREAS, the City is required to have a publicly available pay scale for all
its positions adopted by the City Council in accordance with California Code of
Regulations section 570.5(a); and,
WHEREAS, the City is not required to meet and confer with an employee
association since temporary part-time positions are not represented.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH,
CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Recitals. The recitals above are true and correct, and are
hereby incorporated herein by reference.
SECTION 2. Approval. The City Council hereby approves the attached
Temporary Employee Salary Schedule as set forth in Exhibit A, attached hereto
and incorporated herein by reference.
SECTION 3. Certification. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and
adoption of this Resolution; cause the same to be entered among the original
resolutions of the City; and make a minute of the passage and adoption thereof
in the records of the proceedings of the City Council in the minutes of the
meeting at which time same is passed and adopted.
SECTION 4. Effective Date. This Resolution is effective immediately upon
adoption.
