A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF HERMOSA BEACH RECOMMENDING AN AMENDMENT ADDING TO SECTION 1227 CITY ZONING ORDINANCE N.S. 154.
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of Hermosa Beach at a Public Hearing held November 22, 1971, in the Council Chambers of City Hall, considered a proposed amendment to the City Zoning Ordinance N.S. 154, as amended; and
WHEREAS, after due consideration, it is the opinion of the Planning Commission that said amendment is necessary to the public convenience and general welfare;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Planning Commission of Hermosa Beach hereby recommends the following amendment to the City Council for adoption: That Section 1227 be added to Ordinance N. S. 154, as amended, same to read as follows: "Section 1227. Wall Signs. All Wall signs shall be painted on materials acceptable under the Building Code of the City and securely attached to a wall of the building. No sign shall be painted directly on any exterior wall of a building; except that one sign not to exceed 1/2 the allowed sign area, stating the name of the business as shown on the Business License on file with the City, may be painted directly on the front wall not less than 8 feet above side walk level."
