RESOLUTION P. C. 154-878
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF
HERMOSA BEACH RECOMMENDING THE VACATION OF
PORTIONS OF COCHISE AVENUE AND THIRD STREET.
WHEREAS, at a public hearing held March 26, 1973, the City Planning Commission
of Hermosa Beach considered the request of Sunnyglen Construction Company for
the vacation of Cochise Avenue between northerly intersection of Cochise Avenue
with 2nd Street and westerly prolongation of the rear lot line of lot 41 of Tract 451, and
'Third Street westerly of the easterly lot line of lot 18, Tract 451; and
WHEREAS, at said public hearing it was found that the subject vacation is not con-
trary to the General Plan; and that the subject streets will not be needed for general
traffic circulation if tentative subdivision #26111 is completed as approved; and
WHEREAS, after due consideration it is the opinion of the Commission that the pro-
posed vacations will be beneficial to the growth of the city and will bring no harm or
detriment to the city or the immediate neighborhood if subdivision and Planned De-
velopment C-73-5 are completed as approved by the Planning Commission;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Planning Commission hereby
recommends:
1. That upon recording of final subdivision map substantially in conformance
with approved tentative map #26111, the subject street be declared surplus
and vacated;
2. That easements satisfactory to all affected utility companies be retained
within the right of way area;
3. That applicant pay all costs connected with the vacation proceedings;
4. That a cash bond be posted sufficient to guarantee completion of the sub-
division.
