HomeMy WebLinkAboutPC Resolution 154-929RESOLUTION P.C. 154-929 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF HERMOSA BEACH RESCINDING RESOLUTION P.C. 154-914 ANO RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY COUNCIL DENIAL OF A REQUEST FOR CONDOMINIUM CONVERSION AT 77 15TH STREET WHEREAS, at their regular meeting of August 13, 1973, the Planning Conmis- sion did approve the request of Fred Held for condominium conversion on Lots 24, 25, and 26, Block 16, Hermosa Beach Tract~ known as 77 15th Street (subdivision #31875); and WHEREAS, the Planning Conmission felt it had acted at that time without adequate information; and WHEREAS, at their regular meeting of September 18, 1973, the City Council did hear this request, as required by Sub-division law; and WHEREAS, at this meeting of September 18, 1973, a Planning Conmissioner was present and requested that the City·:council return the application to the Planning Conmission for further .review because they had acted originally under misconception of their authority over the project and felt that re- examination of the project was necessary for the best development; and WHEREAS, the application was again heard by the Planning Commission at their regular meeting of September 24, 1973, and after all facts and findings were reviewed; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Conmission does hereby rescind Resolution P.C. 154-914 and recommends denial of the application for the following reasons: VOTE: Ayes: Noes: a. That there is a question regarding project conformance with single family dwelling standards and its suitability as an owner-occupant residence. b. There is a conflict with existing zoning standards with respect to the adequacy of project's density, parking, open space, and land area/division sizes which require further interpretation as to impact on the environment and the goals of the General Plan. c. Structures not providing soundproofing would be, In the opinion of the Planning Conmission, insufficient for residential family I iving. d.
