AMENDMENT TO THE GENERAL PLAN #7
An amendment to the General Plan eliminating the medium rise and high rise
classifications.
WHEREAS, analysis of the existing subdivision and zoning pattern of the City
will allow a population exceeding 26,000 persons; and
WHEREAS, medium and high rise structures will create view obstruction and
undesirable concentrations of traffic;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Planning Conmission of Hermosa
Beach hereby recommends that the General Plan be amended to wit:

1. That the Plan Concept be revised to eliminate reference to medium and
high rise development and densities.
2. That the Residential Land Use Element be revised to strike the para-
graphs relating to 11medium-rise11 and "high-rise" density.
3. That "Multi-use Corridor" paragraph be revised to strike references to
high rise.
4. That the 11Central Business District" paragraph be revised to eliminate
reference to medium rise.
