A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF HERMOSA BEACH
GRANTING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT TO CONVERT THE HERMOSA
THEATER TO A 11twtN11 THEATER.
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of Hermosa Beach, at a public hearing held
November 26, 1973, considered the request of H. Chuey for a Conditional Use Permit
in order to convert an existing motion picture theater into a "twin" theater on
Lots 15, 16, 17, and 18 of Block 13, Hermosa Beach Tract, known as 1229 Hermosa
Avenue; and
\1HEREAS, at said pub1 ic hearing, pub1 ic testimony favored the proposed change; and
WHEREAS, the appl leant indicated that one purpose of the change is to be able to
continuously present "General" audience motion pictures; and
WHEREAS, the preliminary Environmenta1 Impact Report indicated no significant
adverse effects to the environment;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City P1anning Commission of Hermosa Beach
hereby approves the subject request subject to the fo11owing conditions:

a. That the theater be revised as shovm on p1ans submitted to the Planning
Commission ("Exhibit A").
b. That any exterior changes be subject to approval by the Improvement
Commission.
