A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION
OF HERMOSA BEACH RECOMMENDING THE PURCHASE
OF CERTAIN PROPERTIES FOR PUBLIC PURPOSES o
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission has recommended in previous
action the expansion of the City-owned property located between Fourteenth
Street, the Strand, Fifteenth Street and Beach Drive, known as the "Biltmore
Site" by the acquisition of three additional lots on Fourteenth Street
known as the "Rippy property"; and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the Commission that the purchase of said
property will provide the City with needed flexibility in the use and deve-
lopment of the Biltmore Site, either for public uses, or for use in enhancing
public property or projects; and
WHEREAS, the proposed purchase will not be in conflict with the General
Plan, may enable more orderly implementation of the General Plan:
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Planning Commission
hereby APPROVES the purchase of lots 19, 20 and 22 of Block 15, Hermosa
Beach Tract.

ABSENT: Comm. Lagan, Mulfinger and Chairman Noble
