HomeMy WebLinkAboutPC Resolution 78-03 (1019-1022 Hermosa Ave)RESOLUTION P.C. 78-3 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF HERMOSA BEACH APPROVING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR SERVICE OF BEER AND WINE AND FOR LIVE ENTERTAINMENT AT 1018-1020-1022 HERMOSA AVENUE ~~HEREAS, the Planning Corrmission of Hennosa Beach held a public hearing on January 23, 1978, to consider a request for a conditional use permit for service of beer and wine and for live entertainment at 1018-1020- 1022 Hermosa Avenue; and WHEREAS, the Commission considered the location, parking, noise, hours and operating conditions, neighborhood and surrounding uses; and WHEREAS, the Commission found that the project is consistent with zoning, the area in which it will operate, and operating hours; and WHEREAS, the Commission believes it has established conditions in the permit that would prevent the operation from becoming a beer bar; and WHEREAS, the Commission considered the concerns represented by several communications from the public; and WHEREAS, the Commission found the project is consistent with objectives of the coastal zone plan in providing more tourist and commercial recrea- tion activities in the beach area; and WHEREAS, the Corrrnission found that parking is adequate at night with the parking district lots and the establishments roof-top parking. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Corrmission of Hermosa Beach does hereby approve a conditional use pennit for the service of beer and wine and for live entertainment at 1018-1020-1022 Hermosa Avenue, subject to the following conditions: 1. The business shall soundproof all walls. 2. Operators of the business must police the sidewalks which are directly adjacent to the business for litter and maintain in a clean and orderly manner on a daily basis. 3. No off-sale of any alcoholic beverage; no take-out of any alcoholic beverage. 4. If the Police Chief determines that a police problem exists in relationship to this business, he may require that the business provide a doorman. 5. No change in operating hours or conditions (8 p.m. -2 a.m. daily) without prior approval of the Planni~g Commission. 6. The outer doors are to be kept closed at all times when entertainment is occurring. 7. Three-month review. 8. 9. No electronic amplification of live or recorded music and no singing. No dancing. 10.
