CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH
RESOLUTION NO. RES-26-7558
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA
BEACH, CALIFORNIA, REQUESTING THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE
COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES TO RENDER SPECIFIED SERVICES TO THE CITY
RELATING TO THE CONDUCT OF A GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO
BE HELD ON TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 3, 2026
WHEREAS, a General Municipal Election for the City of Hermosa Beach
(“City”) shall be held in the City on November 3, 2026; and
WHEREAS, the City consolidates its municipal elections with the County of
Los Angeles ("County") pursuant to California Elections Code ("Elections Code")
sections 10401 and 10403, and the County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk
administers operational aspects of the election; and
WHEREAS, in order to conduct the election efficiently and in accordance
with law, the City desires to request that the County provide specified election
services; and
WHEREAS, the City will reimburse the County for all costs associated with
providing such services.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH,
CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE, AND ORDER AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Incorporation of Recitals. The recitals above are true and
correct, and are hereby incorporated herein by reference.
SECTION 2. Election Services Requested. The City Council requests the
County Board of Supervisors to permit the County Election Department to prepare
and furnish the following for use in conducting the election pursuant to Elections
Code section 10002:
a. A listing of county precincts with the number of registered voters in
each so the City may consolidate election precincts into City voting

precincts, and maps of the voting precincts;
b. A list of polling places, vote centers, and poll workers the County uses
for its elections;
c. The voter record of the names and addresses of all eligible registered
voters in the City in order that the City’s consultant may:
(1) produce labels for vote-by-mail voters;
(2) produce labels for voter information guides;
(3) print rosters of voters and street indexes;
d. Voter signature verification services as needed; and
e. Election equipment and assistance from the County as needed
pursuant to state law.
SECTION 3. Reimbursement. The City shall reimburse the County for all
services performed pursuant to this Resolution upon completion of the work and
presentation of a properly approved invoice..
SECTION 4. Transmittal. The City Clerk is authorized and directed to transmit
certified copies of this Resolution to the County Board of Supervisors and the
County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk, and to take all actions necessary to
effectuate the purposes of this Resolution..
SECTION 5. Certification. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and
adoption of this Resolution; cause the same to be entered among the original
resolutions of the City; and make a minute of the passage and adoption thereof
in the records of the proceedings of the City Council.
SECTION 6. Effective Date. This Resolution shall take effect immediately
upon its adoption.

that the above and foregoing Resolution No. RES -26-75 58 was duly approved and
adopted by the City Council of said City at its regular meeting thereof held on
the 23rd day of June 2026 and passed by the following vote:
