The City planning QA70ssion had previously recc"onianded that the property be waned R-3 (February 18, 1969). The Manning Canaissloa also reccwWnded that the City Staff pursue the possibility of obtaining said property for park purposes In order to emplerent the General Flan. The City Council subsequently instructed the Staff to open Pega U atiens with the property owners to determine if the property could be so obtained. The previous reco=endatlons of the Planning Comission have lapsed due to failure to act on the part of the City Council. AWALYSiS: The previous findings still apply. The property Is not suitable for industrial uses. The property is not suitable for commercial useso The property may be suitable for residential uses, If the soil is stable enough to meet City requirements. The property Ss eminently suitable for public park purposes. Street ?sp rovements are not presently adequate for development of property to permitted R•3 density. The plans displayed to the City Council cannot be developed without subdivision and variance from the City Zoning Ordinance.
