The Council receives a packet with detailed information and recommendations on nearly every agenda
item. Complete agenda packets are available for public inspection in the Police Department, Public
Library, and the Office of the City Clerk. During the meeting, a packet is also available in the Council
foyer.

VACANCIES - BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS
PLANNING COMMISSION - UNEXPIRED TERM ENDING JUNE 30, 1995
Recommendation:
It is recommended that the City Council schedule a meeting for the
purpose of conducting interviews of Planning Commission applicants
prior to the next regular meeting of Tuesday, June 14, at which
time the appointment may be made.
Background:
An unscheduled vacancy arose on the Planning Commission due to the
April 11 resignation of Steven Suard, who has continued serving as
commissioner pending Council appointment of his replacement.
The vacancy has been noticed pursuant to State law and the position
has been advertised pursuant to Council direction (newspaper
publications and normal posting procedures). The deadline for
submitting applications was 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 31.
There are seven applications --three that were submitted during the
recruitment process and four of which were already on file. The
applicants are:
