ROLL CALL Present - Cioffi, Rosenberger, Simpson, Williams, Mayor DeBellis Absent - None Action: To adjourn to a committee of the whole. Motion Mayor DeBellis, second Simpson. So ordered. City Manager Meyer advised Council that the purpose of this meet- ing was to allow them to ask further questions based on the ques- tions initially asked and answers given. Supplemental Budget. Bulletins were distributed as follows: Bulletin No. 9. Recap Sheets - Prior -_Years 10. Possible Additions to Civil Defense Budget 11. Police Management Staffing 12. Police Administrative Support Personnel 13. Sixth Police Sergeant 14. Median Island Maintenance Alternatives 15. 6/30/85 Revenue Report 16. Quimby Act Revenue Estimates The following suggestions were made after taking straw votes: Bulletin No. 1.. Business License Changes A-2 - Professionals - change proposed fee to $150 + $12/empl. Later in the year change license fees by resolution as follows: A-7...Beauty..Parlors,. etc. - change to $100. A-17...Apartment/Hotel/Motel - change to $15.00/unit. A-25...Retail - $100 -1st $20,000 of g.r. + $1.00 ea add. $1,000. B-22..Restaurant.w/Liquor - change categories to include entertainment, beer & wine, distilled spirits, bonafide restaurant - go with ABC classes. D-1. .Wholesale Delivery - change to $100/vehicle D-2. .Retail Delivery - better enforcement. Bulletin.No. 1A. Business License Changes Classification.A-1..Automobile..Dealers - change to maximum license fee of $1,100. C-1.General,_Plumbing.&. Electrical.Contractors change to $100 per annum. C-2. Subcontractors - change to $100 per annum. - 1 - Mi mites 6-12-R6 Bulletin. No. 2.. Promotion Contracts Chamber of Commerce Xmas Decorations - straw vote to delete. Bulletin. No.. 3. . Social. Service. Contracts Juvenile Diversion - increase to $3,000. Police Department A tax override was again reviewed at either $50.00 per dwelling unit or $90.00 per dwelling unit. This tax override would in- crease the police force and reduce costs. General Services It was recommended that the General Services Department be allot- ted one additional supervisor and three additional officers. Goals. and Priorities Goals and Priorities will be agendized for the first meeting in August. ADJOURNMENT The Special Meeting of the City Council of the City of Hermosa Beach, California was adjourned at the hour of 10:35 P.M. on Thursday, June 12, 1986 to a Regular Meeting to be held on Tues- day, June 24, 1986 at the hour of 7:30 P.M. preceded by a Closed Executive Session at 6:00 P.M.
