Action - that Demands and Warrants Nos. 14973 through 15000,
inclusive, and Demands and Warrants Nos. 15501 through 15606',
inclusive, dated December 23, 1974, in the amount of $101,173.00
be approved and Warrants drawn to pay same, and that Warrants
Nos. 15540, 15545 and 15547 be declared void.

2. to award a contract for the purchase of one two -ton truck cab
and chassis with dump body and hoist, Ford Model F-602, from
Ldtgow Ira Escobar Ford, Inc., 1500 Sepulveda Boulevard, Manhattan Beach,
for a price of $9,141.00 with 60-90 day delivery date;
and
to award a contract for the purchase of three one -ton truck cab
,/and chassis with dump body and hoist, Ford Model F-350, from Ira
L Escobar Ford, Inc., 1500 Sepulveda Boulevard, Manhattan Beach, for
a price of $6,089.00 each, total $18,267.00, with 45-60 day

Meeting adjourned to personnel session at 7:40 p.m. and reconvened in
Council Chamber at 7:45 p.m.
/Mayor Post stated that he was pleased to announce the appointment
of Claude G. Stonier as Chief of Police of the City of Hermosa Beach,
effective January 1, 1975.
Adjournment - to the next regular meeting, Tuesday, December 24, 1974 -
which will be adjourned for lack of quorum to the next regular meeting
of the City Council to be held on Tuesday, January 14, 1975 in the
Council chamber, City Hall, at 7:30 p.m. (This WAS a 20 -minute meeting
adjourned at 7:50 p.m. MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!!!)

(Aside from City "Clerk to City Council: Eleven (11, that is!) very
important, necessary and beneficial things accomplished in what was
actually less than twenty minutes -- another proof that the time spent
on legislation is not an indication of its worth to the community.

with accomplishment.
