Herb Besant, 2207 PCH - Wanted to know when Wallace/Malorres
appeal from Planning Commission denial re proposed development
at 2447 PCH would be on agenda - informed November 6, 1973.

(b) Mr. David Burt wanted to know what happened to combined lot problem
referred to Planning Commission sometime ago. Council says put
it back on Council agenda for 11/6/73. e,
(c) Kathy Bergstrom pointed out that November 6th was Statewide
Special Election Day. (This City does not declare holiday on
election days)
(d) Kathy Bergstrom would like to request that the City make a study
of all of the existing motels in City and their usage;
Wants to know what we are going to do in terms of demanding
enforcement.
City Manager said we will review Occupancy Tax revenue and city
has right of entry for commercial establishments.

(e) Grant isgreen informed' council that signs re gross.load limit for
trucks are now on Prospect Avenue, but none at the beginning and
�j,Gorw-s r% the end of the street to give truck drivers notice in advance.
Suggests that some can be relocated to these positions.
(f), Grant Isgreen suggests course for police officers re truck load
limit and how to enforce and cite. Stated collisions incident
` �1" c.7 recently where officer did not know about load limit or how to
cite.
(g) ` Councilman Valdes would -like a report re work load of building
A;,„,* 1 inspectors - especially re investigation of violations.
(h), Mrs. Bergstrom and Mrs. Ebey stated that the working staff of
the Building Department1ad been very cooperative - the problem
was with 'the administrative staff.
(i) Mrs. Ebey asked the Council why they could not direct as of this
night that there will be a monthy inspection for the next thirty
months. No action was taken on this suggestion.
