Note: Council urges civic groups and service organizations to promote and support this "trial run" scheduled to last until end of April. Non -Agenda Items from Audience: (a) Herb Besant,;2207 PCH - Again proposed no parking on City streets from midnight to 6 a.m. - use vacant lots for resident parking, city to give free permit and property owner to get revenue. $5 permit from City Hall for parking on street for visitors to residents. City to buy 10 tow trucks - $25 fee for towing and $25 fee for storage, to bail out car towed away. "it doesn't make any difference where they put them, as long as they are off the streets." (b) Jim Rosenberger, 156 - 1st Court - Would like to have Mayor reactivate Bike Path Committee in order to get something done before summer. was ..informed that Committee had not been "de- activated" but was waiting for bike -path -in -Circulation -Element - of -General -Plan from Planning Commission. (c) Jim Rosenberger - asked that City provide Council Chamber for informal get-together of all candidates for City Council and interested residents who are not invited tovarious fund-raising parties and other events. Note: Council Chamber should not be used for political events - however, okay for Clark Stadium Bldg, etc. (d) Ms. Pat Hodges, 1736 Monterey Boulevard - Feels "Hermosa Car Wash" sign is offensive - also objects to fact that it is never turned off. Council suggested that she take this problem to Rod Merl, Environmental Control, and to the Improvement Commission. Pat Hodges - Wanted to know if City was doing anything about getting commercial electric signs turned off. Informed City had no jurisdiction - Edison Company trying. Pat Hodges - agreed that informal candidates' meeting with , all members of community was needed. 27. to accept the ruling of the City Prosecutor and deny the request pora rehearing of application for permit to conduct Madam Mary Palmistry Business at 536 Pacific Coast Highway submitted by Fatima, Lula and Rosie Stevens, due to the fact that all administrative remedies have been exhausted.
