for removal of a palm tree located on the east side of Meyer Court
with owners of all abutting properties.
Note: Councilman Barks requested that the stafffcontact some
expert on palm strees to find out if there is any danger of
tree breaking and falling. City Manager said this would
be done.
Mr. Jim Rosenberger gave Council letter from Mr. and Mrs.
M. L. Caramanis, 1001 First Street, stating that they hoped
the council would grant tree a reprieve for a longer life.

of California Cities Institute to be held in Monterey, California

(a) Councilman Widman inquired re status of further publicity
for free community bus service and whether C of C had been
approached in any manner to assume some of this responsibility.
CM replied that he believed staff was talking to Chamber but
that he could not report what their Board was doing at this time.
(b) Councilman Widman raised for consideration by the Council a
proposal that an ad hoc Citizen Fanan.cee3ommittee be established
to investigate all alternate sources of revenue for the City,
and solicited the assistance of citizen volunteers.
(c) Councilman. Barks requested that the City post on a bulletin
board the agendas of all City Couric±1, Commission, Board and
Committee meetings for public information. city Manager said
we would put meeting agendas out in various places on public
bulletin boards.

experimental bicycle path on Hermosa Avenue be referred back to
staff for a report at the next regular meeting on April 16, 1974
containing specific proposals and time and cost estimates with
emphasis on reducing hazards and liability factors. Widman, Tyson.
