Councilman Post directed the City Attorney to codify the existing procedures that we are using on Environmental Impact Reports so that ,, environmental factors may be considered in connection with private 6,^" projects during the moratorium period for the Environmental Quality Act of 1970, as provided in Assembly Bill 889. 7. Councilman Doerfling directed the staff to prepare an ordinance that would prohibit the sale of fireworks in this City and. t eliminate said business license. .4'%1/4, E Councilman Doerfling directed the staff to prepare an "Excavation Ordinance" like those of Torrance and Redondo Beach, listing fees and restrictions. The City Attorney will research whether such fees charged by charter cities are applicable to general law city, and review excavation regulations now in City Code.
