Mayor Valdes informed the Council that Dr. Lokka of City School District had requested joint meeting of Board of Trustees and City Council, and Council agreed on Tuesday, March 27, 1973 at 7:30 p.m. in Council Chamber, City Hall. 47 d. Mayor Valdes announced •appointment of Sgt..Doukakis to position of Lieutenant in Police Department and outlined his background and experience in police work; stated he would announce appointment of two new sergeants at next meeting. Stated professionalism in law enforcement is the goal of city administration and the department. Also informed public that four new patrolmen would forthwith be appointed from eligibility list. 6.
